Can you describe your role at MakeATX/ Bright Beam Goods? How long have you been with the company?

I am a production assistant for Bright Beam Goods. I have worked with the team at MakeATX/ Bright Beam Goods for the last two years.

What does an average work day (or shift) look like for you?

Each day I prepare products, do quality control, and participate in new product designs in our ATX studio space.

What is your favorite Bright Beam product and why?

My favorite product is the cactus kit. Those cute little sculptures look great anywhere.

How have you used laser cutting in your own personal work or side hustle?

Laser cutting has allowed me to dream up ways to produce packaging. For me, this brings down the costly price tags that sometimes come with sustainable and earth conscious packaging options. I choose the material and I only produce what I need. Goodbye high MOQ's.

We’d love to plug your own personal work/business! If you haven't already, can you tell us a little bit about your practice? Where can we find more of your work?

I have an online lifestyle shop, See Phillips. We sell art prints, home decor, jewelry, and more. All products are designed by me and produced thoughtfully in ATX.

It’s been a long year. What are some newly-discovered things (podcasts, albums, hobbies, habits etc.) that have helped get you though?

Weekly therapy has helped me get through. Shoutout to openpathcollective.org for making therapy accessible.
